Evan and I discovered a way to ease the amount of temper tantrums when we are out in public (or at home). As you all must know, when it comes to leaving something (usually the toy aisle) the melt down begins. But with Kael we just tell him that "Its time to go, so say bubye". Kael 90% of the time puts down whats hes playing with, waves at it and says in his cute little voice "bubye" and follows along with us.....
The other day I told Kael that it was time to go upstairs and get dressed. I picked up Naveah and started walking to the stairs. I hear Kael put his cars in his bucket and say "bubye cars" and he started coming to the stairs. Then I hear "bubye shoe, bubye pwant....bubye bind(blind)" I stop and turn around and couldnt help but giggle. Kael was saying goodbye to everything he saw on the way upstairs. And just when I thought things couldnt get any cuter.....
I havent been giving Kael his naps lately as it becomes a huge struggle at bedtime if I do. But one day he was crazy tired and I needed the break so I decided to let him sleep for an hour. I picked kael up and he flopped down on my shoulder. I asked him "are you tired? Is it time for a nap?" He rubbed his eyes and repeated "aaAp?". I walked up the stairs and towards his bedroom. Softy I heard him start saying..."aight aight toy, aight aight car, aight aight pants" This continued all the way to his room. I layed him in bed and he says "aight aight mummy, wahwoo (luv yu)" and gives me a kiss, then rolled over and went to sleep.
Its moments like this that make me feel that my Kael carries a little something extra special.
Too cute!!!

ReplyDeleteI love the phase where they surprise you with the words they know. Don't you find that you find out how you talk because they repeat you all the time?
ReplyDeleteI love the wahwoo...awwww. :)
