Meet Lazuli

So I got a Cat. And I love her. We love her. She is amazing.

After our trip to BC Evan and I decided that getting a cat was a must. The kids love animals and dogs were out of the question, along with all other little creatures you keep in cages. So a cat it was!
It was a struggle to get her and I thought that it just wasnt meant to be for a while. When I got home I sent in a request at the humaine society for a specific kinda of cat, age....etc. I got a phone call a little while later from them saying that they had a kitty just like I was looking for for adoption. I rushed the kids down there only to be told that I shouldnt have been called cause she really wasnt available. She was still in "foster care" and i wasnt even able to see what she looked like. So frustrated I went home and waited, again. I got another call a couple weeks later saying she was available and I could come adopt her and take her home. So again, I rushed the kids down there. I was oh so fortunate to get a very anxious woman who didnt seem to like that I had young kids and did everything she could to make me feel like a 13 year old girl who knew nothing of what she was talking about. She then continuted to analyze my childrens behaviour and body language making them to look like feisty little hellions that wanted to beat every cat senseless. *grrrrr*. Anyways, we went in to finally view the cat. She was surprised at how good the kids were with her and how calm the cat was around them.
I thought we were going to be able to take her home but was then told that the vet 'said' she wanted her to stay longer cause her incision from her spay was swollen. I think the lady was just out to get me but whatever. There we were again, going home without a cat. Not knowing how long it would be till we got to take her home I was beginning to get really frustrated with the whole process and was beginning to think I made the wrong decision. But luckily, just a few days later, I got the call. When I got there I told the girl that if I dont go home with this cat today, im not coming back. She laughed and then handed me the cat.

She is a four month old Siamese Lynx Point. She is so well mannered. Wants nothing more than to cuddle and has amazing patience with the kids. ( i could learn a thing or two from this cat!). She takes whatever they dish out at her only occationally does she cry out and look at me like "help!". She's adjusted to home very well and I think she is going to be a great addition to our family.
