A Prized Possession

This past Sunday Evan took a 'guys day' and went river boating with his dad, Tom. One of Toms friends owns a boat and he took them out to Drumheller. Must have been an exciting day cause they were gone for a long time. Evan was out the door at 8am and didnt get home until 10:30pm! (thats right ladies, he owes me a ladies night big time!!!). When he finally did get home he showed up looking like a 2 year old boy who had just discovered a bug. He had in his hands a Buffalo skull, a river clam!?, and the best of all, a Dinosaur bone. Lets just say that Daddy is the cooled thing that came to earth since he brought that 'diosore cone' home.

The skull he placed in a perfect spot in the garden, along with the river clam. And the dinosaur bone is on display on one of our shelves in the living room. High enough that Kael cant drop it on anyones toes.

The Clam puzzles me a bit cause I cant say ive ever heard of clams in a fresh water river, but apparently its true. I thought at first that someone must have just thrown a bunch of shells in the river but Evan assured me that they were real and he was digging them up and they were everywhere!!! I can only assume then that they managed to stick around all these years when Alberta was along the coast line. *shrug* who knows right!?
