Time together.

Evans been working so much that when he gets a day off we take advantage of every minute. The kids were so happy to have him home one weekend and we checked out another park in Red Deer. Kin Kanyon. Its gorgeous! It has some awesome walking trails. Kael had loads of fun running along the path and checking out all the nature stuff. He told us about all the things he saw that he new about. I even learned some stuff I didnt know!

There were some girls at the park who brought their Hamster and it was running
around the playground. Naveah and Kael spotted it and thought it was a
WONDER PET! haha

headed to the trails

Kael enjoyed pointing out everything he saw
that he new the name to. Look theres Moss!
Look, a ground squirrel hole!
It was so fun.

Kings of the Hill

I love this pic. Just checkin out the creek below.

Takin a break to dump out all the sand in his shoes.

Completely tuckered out but refused to lay BACK in the stroller. So he fell
asleep sitting up. Cute.
When we got home just finished off the day with a yummy BBQ. Evan made us Steaks, Corn on the Cob and Grilled Pineapple. It was so yummy!  What a great Day. :)

hm, dont mind if I do!

A Decade

I celebrated 6 years of Marriage with Evan. May 28, 2011. Making the grand total --a Decade! 10 years we've been together. It was neat to reflect on some of the things we've gone through together. Good times and Bad. And we were happy to say, we're still here.

Our Wedding Song couldnt be more on when it came to finding the right words to describe the kind of person I often feel like, to the person he makes me feel like. Im so Lucky to Have married a Man who loves me to no end. A man who will work through any problem (though at times needs a good elbow to the rib to remind him) and A man that would do anything for his family. I am proud to call Evan, My Husband.

I Love You.

I can be an nightmare of the grandest kind
I can withhold like it's going out of style
I can be the moodiest baby and you've never met anyone
Who is as negative as I am sometimes

I am the wisest woman you've ever met.
I am the kindest soul with whom you've connected.
I have the bravest heart that you've ever seen
And you've never met anyone
Who's as positive as I am sometimes.

You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can't relate
And you're still here

I blame everyone else, not my own partaking
My passive-aggressiveness can be devastating
I'm terrified and mistrusting
And you've never met anyone as,
As closed down as I am sometimes.

You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can't relate
And you're still here

I resist, persists, and speaks louder than I know
And I resist, your love, no matter how low or high I go

I'm the funniest woman that you've ever known
I'm the dullest woman that you've ever known
I'm the most gorgeous woman that you've ever known
And you've never met anyone
Who is as everything as I am sometimes

You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can't relate
And you're still here

I'm 3!

Naveah just turned 3!!! What a girl she has blossomed into. She keeps everyday entertaining.
I love her over exaggerated laughter and her devilish grin. Her enthusiam to do things and the look on her face when she talks so serious. Her favorite show is "The Wonder Pets". This has made her daily life one giant musical. She sings everything she does and everywhere we go and everyone we see has become a mission to save them. For those of you who have seen the show will know exactly what im talking about. I quite often here Her and Kael arguing over how the Wonder Pets song goes.
She is still in love with Dinosaurs. The Land Before Time is one of her favorite movies and recently she has added Ice Age 3:Dawn of the Dinosaurs to list of 'must watch daily's'. She likes Triceratops and Stegosauras' the most but depending on the day it may be 'sharp tooth' or 'little foot' instead. Shes managed to get quite the collection of dinosaurs so heres hoping she likes them for a while yet!!!
She has a very creative imagination. She scoops food out of books for snacks and animals for cuddle. She has started 'Role Playing' as well and its so cute to watch or listen to her playing with Kael, or any of her friends shes with. Shes usually shopping for toys, acting like 'Mom', on a mission to save someone or just plain ol' makin a mess! I love when she comes up with this stern look on her face and in a whisper she shakes her finger at me and says "you have to be quiet, the monsters are sleeping, ok?....ok".
She is one of the messiest kids I know. There is always dirt, food, pen, chalk and other questionable things all over her face and usually her clothes too. Clean clothes only last minutes on her. Her hair, even if done, will be a frizzy disaster before we leave the house. Her shoes are never on the right feet and most trips to the bathroom result in a 'Kris Kross' flashback! And she is CONSTANTLY falling down.
Shes cheeky, sweet, quirky, loud, messy, and sometimes monsterous. She will give you a run for your money when she wants something and its often hard to bargain with her. She'll come up and gently touch your cheek, tilt her head to the side and say "I love you more!" and then demand that you say "I love you most".
She says and does the darndest things. While I wish I wrote more of these down here are some of the ones I can remember...

"I fell off the toilet like a turtle"

"Theres a shark in my tummy" or "theres a crab in my mouth" (usually when shes sick)

When telling her she needs to clean her toys or id take them away she turns to Kael and sings "this is SERIOUS!" (again, you would have had to have seen Wonder Pets to get it)

Naveah ran up to me and wrapped her arms around my legs and yelled "I LOVE YOU MOMMY", I then realized we were standing in the toy aisle.

After catching Naveah chowing down on a bowl of honeydew I had set aside for myself she turns to me and says "oh Thank you Mommy...is this for me!?" (dripping mouthful and all)

Naveah came to the kitchen window (from the outside) while i was prepping dinner, climbed up on the bench and peeked her head in the window and proceeds to order lunch... "Ill have a cheeseburger and a coffee please!"

Kael: Mommy, why do you have a clip in your hair. Naveah: Because she is pretty like ME!

Naveah once informed me that Sharp tooth, Optimus Prime AND the Seaweed Monster are in the basement and the best way to 'kill them' is with a (plastic) wrench. Within moments of recieving this information she also told me that Godzilla and baby Godzooky are here too. but its okay cause they are good guys. (phew! thank goodness!)

Naveah heard Evan and I talking about the earthquakes in Japan. She piped in, slightly panicked "a Sharp Tooth earthquake!?.......is Cera ok!!!" (refer back to Land Before Time)

after dropping kael off at playschool naveahs asks "are we gunna go to play place?" me "no sweety we need to go home." naveah "oh, cause our house is on fire?"......Yah I dont know where that came from.

while in the bath Naveah starts lining up all the purple foam letters on the side of the tub "what are you doing Naveah?" I asked. " Im building a WORD!!!" she then puts her hands on either side and squishes the letters together. hahaha (Refer to kids show Word World)

Naveah is such a spunky soul and and she brings light to every room she is in. We love this little girl SO much and look forward to seeing her grow up. Happy Birthday Naveah!

***********
I asked Naveah what she wanted for her Birthday. She said "cake!". So I went with it. I made her yummy pancakes for breakfast....

for lunch we invited a couple friends along with us to McDonalds to have 'cheeseburger cakes' and cupcakes! While it was rediclously busy and ill never take my kids there again, they still had a great time.

Originally we planned to have a camping birthday party for her but those plans had to change because it rained the entire weekend we were gunna go. So instead we invited people over for a Movie and Popcorn.
We had lunch then opened presents. Then we all cozied up downstairs and watched "The Land Before Time".

Big thanx to Krista, Bethany, Meghan and Tiffany who helped make her birthday just THAT much more fun!

Jevne vs. Cyr

We got to go on our first camping trip in two years this past May long weekend! We also finally got to try out our Tent trailer that we bought last year. The kids were so excited to go and even more excited when I told them that their friends Summerlyn and Brendan would be joining us!
Heres the new camper...It has a mini fridge, furnace, stereo, sink, 3rd pop out, 2 queen bed and 1 double. And it came with a portable toilet which came in handy when youre camping with little kids!!!

K & N's bed.

The 3rd pop out is a genius idea!

Beth and I went to Red Lodge campground the Monday before to reserve a site so as to make sure we would have one. Then we got this silly idea in our heads that it would be a GOOD idea to head up there on Thursday with all our children and without our husbands! 6 Kids, 2 Moms and an entire campsite to set up for a total of 12 people sounds like a great time to me!!!...or not. Honestly the first two days were a write off and Beth and I were both about ready to pack up, call it quits and hand the kids off to the highest bidders. But come Saturday morning things began to improve. Thank goodness.

Our campsite

this campsite was huge! it even had enough room for a tent, 2 campers,
a 'dining room' tent, 3 huge picnic tables, and 6 full sized trucks!

the 'dining tent' aka Party Shack.
There wasnt a whole ton of excitement to this camping trip. We didnt do much but hang around the campsite cause there wasnt much to do around there and we weren't allowed to have campfires. But thats not to say we didnt have any fun. The kids had so much fun playing together, throwing anything they found on the ground at one another, fighting, laughing, crafting and building pretend fire pits everywhere. It really is amazing how long kids can play if you just let them loose in the forest! Naveah wins the award on the Dirtiest Kid competition. There was no doubt in my mind that she is related to Oscar the Grouch. Within seconds of her waking up in the morning she blended right in to the outdoor decor. Kael was very much in his element. I cant even explain to you how much this kid loves being outsite. The whole process of camping is amazing to him and he is already whining on when he can go again!

On Sunday we decided to take a venture to Dickson Dam in Glennifer Lake. The biggest adventure of the day was just finding the place! We were pretty much led on a wild goose chase and over an hour later, we found it....only 30kms from where we started. Haha. We didnt stick around long cause it was pretty cold and windy, but we did manage to sneak in some Fishing! Kael got some lessons from Clayton, Beths husband, and his Brother Chase and Naveah got her lessons from Summerlyn!

It really was such a fun weekend and I cant wait to take the kids again!

Just a Day at the Park

On our way home from driving Grama to the airport we stopped in at the Red Lodge Campground in Bowden to 'scope it out' for an upcoming camping trip with some friends. It turned out to be a lot nicer than I had expected a campground to look in Alberta! We stuck around for a bit after a drive through so the kids could get out of the truck and stretch their legs and play at the park. It was so nice to just get out and relax on a nice warm sunny day! and HOLY my kids are SO CUTE!!!!!!!
