FIVE

Evan and I celebrated our 5 year Wedding Anniversary. It was a memorable one.

I put Evan to the test this time to see if he could plan an anniversary surprise without my help. Going on somewhat of a 'planning strike' I messaged Evan one day simply saying "I can't wait to see what you have planned for our anniversary" and pretty much left it at that.

Then it finally came. Friday May 28th was the day. Evan was still up in Red Deer working but was coming home that night. He had phoned me earlier in the week saying that I wasnt allowed to make any plans for Friday or Saturday, that I couldnt go out and spend money and had to stay home. Talk about house bound!!! Well on Friday half the day came and went and there was no surprise of Evan showing up at home. Then he called me asking if anything was new. "Nope". He then went on to tell me that he thought the guy should should be there by now. Then told me that he hired a clown to come to the house and sing me a song he wrote for me and that he thought the kids would love it. I know this all sounds like a big joke but if you know Evan well you know that this story is not all that far fetched. So I was pretty convinced that there was acutally a clown about to show up at my house. Not much longer later the door bell rang and I almost got the kids to answer it thinking that it might just be a clown. But I answer and low and behold it was the worst clown id ever seen, just a flower delivery guy holding the most beautiful arrangement of flowers ive ever recieved.

When Evan got home later that night he took us and the kids to Eastside Marios for dinner then spent just a quite evening at home.

Saturday was the day he had planned to celebrate our Milestone. He made arrangements for Kael to stay with Aunty Wendy and Naveah to stay with Nanny and Papa Jevne. Later that night he took me to Bolero's Brazilian BBQ for dinner. Wow was that amazing! We ordered the all you can eat buffet. They have a neat set up there. There is a little wooden block on your table with three sections. Red, Yellow and Green. If the green side is up they just keep coming to your table offering you different kinds of meat. If its on Red that means you need a break. When you are totally done you put it on yellow. I had fun just flipping the block around!

Evan was the first to announce he was done which dissapointed me a bit because I was NOT done. But being a lady I didnt want to sit and keep feasting while my husband sat by watching. So I ordered some keylime cheesecake instead then threw in my napkin as well. Afterwards we went and saw 'Clash of the Titans', where I indulged once more in tons of popcorn and skittles. It was a great night.
Thank You Evan for a wonderful Anniversary.
