Well there hasnt been anything interesting happening in my house for the past couple days. The laundry is busting out the windows, every dish in the house is dirty, and my floor ain't that pretty either. Naveahs has dirtied every pair of pants she owns thanx to a nasty little bug thats made its way into her tummy and Kael has been showing his 'brighter'side. And by brighter I mean screaming, whining, hitting, throwing, flopping and at times the tantrums are so bad that he lays on the floor with his arm stretching out infront of him as if trying to grab something just out of reach. If i could see it, I would give it to him just to make it stop!
I decided to take the kids out of the house for a bit today. A risky move, but a much needed one. I headed to my friend Dee's house and decided to take the slow way. Thinking that maybe a more laid back pace might make me a little less tense. It was not even 3 minutes into my drive before I decided that perhaps driving 110 kms/hr on deerfoot didnt sound too bad. I was being cut of by huge semi's that cant even accelerate at a resonable speed, getting stuck behind people that must have thought it was Sunday..."its only WEDNESDAY people!!! we are too stressed out for Sunday right now!" (the foothill indutrial park isnt that scenic). My favorite part was when there was a police car in the picture. You can just sense the paranoria! So there I was driving along, it had only taken me 5 kms to finally get up to the speed limit (50kms), and suddenly im having to slam on my breaks cause the guy infront of me saw a cop. I can only imagine what he must have been thinking!!!! "Oh no, what do I do, theres a cop-does he see me? I think he saw me. Whats the speed limit? I think it's 20. no wait, its 50. But if I go 50 I might creep up to 50.5 and them he'll pull me over for speeding. Maybe ill just go 30....but wait, if I go 30 he'll get me for not driving fast enough....." Now I dont know about you, but its times like this I wish I was driving that semi that just cut me off cause id sure like to give this guy a little PUSH!

deep breath in...deep breath out. isn't driving in calgary fun? when i pass a cop on the highway, i purposely go 5 km's over the speed limit...just to prove to him that i'm not scared. go ahead...pull me over.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I just make a point of never driving in Calgary. It's that easy! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate stupid drivers. The worst is when they have no stinking clue that they did anything wrong or better yet when THEY flip YOU off for THEIR mistake. It's like they think.."I'll juat make them think it was their fault and maybe that'll work."...NOT
ReplyDeleteI hate stressfull days with the kids. And whinning is the worst..I hae no patience for it at all and Lolo has it down to a science.
